Random Thought

I find it so interesting how we interact with one another on campus. Sometimes we smile at each other, but most often I find others (I, myself included) looking to the ground, their cell phones, or in another direction, all to avoid any awkwardness. We all know how much a smile from someone (or anyone) can make our day. So my friend and I made up a game. The object of the game is to smile at every person that we see. If they smile back we win, and if they don't we win as well; for keeping eye contact and not being afraid to simply be friendly to our fellow students and Professors, or anyone in that matter.

Blind Faith

I think the one of the hardest things about being a LDS member as well as being African american is that  Blacks weren't able to receive the priesthood as soon as other members. And believe me, I have no strife against the church or the authorities for these instances for I know the Lord has a reason for everything that he does. The reason I bring this up, because there has been a couple times in my religion where someone tries to give reason to why blacks couldn't receive the priesthood. The truth is The Lord is no respecter of persons. We are all Gods children, made in the image of him. The color of our skin it only a minor detail. It has little to do with who we really are. The Lord makes no mistakes. I feel that it is dangerous for us to try to understand why the Lord  does the things he does, because we are only human. The truth is that we don't even have the capacity to access all the muscles in our brains.
Issiah 55:8-9 "For my thoughts are not your thoughts, neither are your ways my ways saith the Lord. For as the heavens are higher than the earth, so are my ways Higher than your ways, and my thought than your thoughts."
